Every customer hands you a ticket, and the ticket is a fraction. Three quarters of a pizza? That's dough on six of the eight slices. Get it wrong and it comes straight back.
Then the till opens. If they're paying cash you've got to count out their change in real notes and coins, which is usually the moment a kid works out that subtraction is actually for something. Card customers just need the total punched into the machine.
Later shifts cut the pizza into twelfths, so anyone who'd got comfy with eighths has to stop and think again. Coupons show up too, knocking a percentage off before you work out the change.
The maths isn't a quiz bolted onto a game here. It's the whole job. You can't serve anyone without reading the fraction properly.
How to play
- Read the ticket at the top. It tells you the fraction, the toppings and the total.
- Lay dough on exactly the right slices, then add the toppings on top of the dough.
- Hit Serve. If the pizza is right the till opens.
- Cash customers need change counted out in notes and coins. Card customers need the total typed into the machine.
- Keep an eye on the tray meter. Let it get filthy and you will have to stop and wipe it down.

A few tips
- The Fill all button does the whole pizza in one go, which is quicker for whole-pizza orders.
- Toppings only stick where there is dough already, so dough goes first every time.
- Coupons take a percentage off before you work out the change, so read them before you open the till.

Is it really free?
