Grade 4 maths worksheets
Grade 4 expects the times tables to 12 to be quick, then puts them to work in multi digit multiplication. Equivalent fractions, decimals to two places and the area of rectangles arrive alongside.
In Australia this stage is usually called Year 4. Curricula differ between countries and states, so treat the topics below as typical rather than official.

What grade 4 usually covers
- Times tables to 12
- Multi digit multiplication
- Equivalent fractions
- Decimals to two places
- Area of rectangles
A tip for this stage
Equivalent fractions click when they are drawn. Two quarters and four eighths of the same pizza is a more convincing argument than a rule.
Games for the same skills
When a sheet turns into a battle, the matching game usually gets the same practice done without anyone noticing. Element Spellcaster covers times tables, division facts. Slice Rush covers fractions of a whole, halves, quarters, eighths and twelfths. Kingdom Math Defender covers multiplication and division, percentages. Café Crumb covers percentages of an amount, fractions of a whole, including “what's left”.
