Grade 6 maths worksheets
Grade 6 is the bridge to secondary maths. Ratio, negative numbers, multiplying and dividing fractions and the order of operations all show up, along with volume.
In Australia this stage is usually called Year 6. Curricula differ between countries and states, so treat the topics below as typical rather than official.

What grade 6 usually covers
- Ratio and proportion
- Multiplying fractions
- Negative numbers
- Order of operations
- Volume of cuboids
A tip for this stage
Most order of operations mistakes come from working left to right. Brackets first, then powers, then multiply and divide, then add and subtract.
Games for the same skills
When a sheet turns into a battle, the matching game usually gets the same practice done without anyone noticing. Café Crumb covers percentages of an amount, fractions of a whole, including “what's left”. Kingdom Math Defender covers multiplication and division, percentages.
