Grade 7 maths worksheets
Grade 7 is usually the first real algebra: letters standing for numbers, simplifying expressions and solving one step equations. Percentage change, coordinates and the area of triangles and circles sit alongside.
In Australia this stage is usually called Year 7. Curricula differ between countries and states, so treat the topics below as typical rather than official.

What grade 7 usually covers
- Simplifying expressions
- One step equations
- Percentage change
- Coordinates
- Area of triangles
A tip for this stage
Treat an equation as a balance. Whatever you do to one side you do to the other, and the letter is just a number you have not found yet.
Games for the same skills
When a sheet turns into a battle, the matching game usually gets the same practice done without anyone noticing. Café Crumb covers percentages of an amount, fractions of a whole, including “what's left”. Kingdom Math Defender covers multiplication and division, percentages.
